XRF spectra acquired on different zones of the interior and the exterior of Hopperstad Stave Church. The spectra have been increasingly shifted by 500 counts/s on the “Intensity” axis for the sake of clarity. They have neither been normalized nor scaled to better highlight the differences in the intensity of the peaks. The unmarked peak at almost 3 keV corresponds to the Kα_1,2-emission line of argon present in the atmosphere
