a and b Limestone rock columns are subdivided into prismatic rock blocks of different sizes and is entirely disjointed from the rock mass behind through a system of open discontinuities. Apparently, the rock columns are in limit equilibrium conditions (near to being mobilized) due to a rock bridge in the lower portion of the same rock columns
