Visible light image, backscattered electron SEM image and EDX elemental distribution maps obtained on CS2. Images and SEM-EDX analyses suggest the presence of a lead white (Pb) ground, followed by a Cr- and Cu/As-containing green layer. The presence of Al and Si in the upper layer also suggest the presence of ultramarine blue. The yellow areas of the sample did not yield any elemental response that would allow to identify the yellow pigment, which may suggest the use of an organic yellow pigment
