pO2/T-diagram of the systems Cu–Fe–O at 1000 ºC and 1200 ºC. At 1000ºC the association of delafossite (Del), cuprite (Cu2O) and magnetite (Mtss) show high oxygen partial pressures between 10–6 and 10–2. As mentioned, delafossite transforms into spinel around 1090 ºC, and is therefore not present at 1200 ºC. Note that fayalite (as ‘FeO’ here) needs strong reducing conditions to crystallise. Hm: hematite [31, 33]
