Cross-section of the newborn’s coffin imaged with clinical computed tomography (CT) device. Denser materials are coloured more brightly white in the image. This tells us that the floral wreath seen in the image includes some high-attenuating material such as bronze or iron inside it. Bones are another highly attenuating material easy to see inside the coffin. Less-attenuating materials such as wood and skin share similar attenuating profiles.
