Correction to: Does substrate colour affect the visual appearance of gilded medieval sculptures? Part I: colorimetry and interferometric microscopy of gilded models

Following publication of the original article [1], it was reported that there were errors in the legends in Figs. 9 and 10, and an error in the colour values for the target “y4_pg_nb_sp1” in Additional file 1: Table S3 and Table S5.
The correct figures (Figs. 9 and 10) and Additional file 1 are included in this Correction article and the original article [1] has been updated.
